ஆஷாட ஏகாதசி (தேவசயன ஏகாதசி) – இன்று 04-07-2017- பண்டரிபுரம் !

 பண்டரிபுரத்தில் முக்கிய நாளாக ஆஷாட ஏகாதசி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இது ஆஷாட மாதத்தில் (ஜூன்-ஜூலை) வரும் வளர்பிறை ஏகாதசியாகும். என்ன இந்த நாளுக்கு பண்டரிபுரத்தில் விசேஷம் ?

 ஸ்ரீ பாண்டுரங்கனின் சிறந்த பக்தர்களான ஸ்ரீ துக்காராம் மகாராஜ் அவர்களும் ஸ்ரீ ஞானேஸ்வரரும் தமது பக்தர்களுடன் ஸ்ரீ பாண்டுரங்கனை தரிசிக்க பல மைல்கள் பாத யாத்திரையாக ( 150 – 200 கிமீ மேல் ) வந்து பண்டரிபுரம் அடைந்த நாள் ஆஷாட ஏகாதசி நாளாகும் .

 ஓவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் இந்த சமயத்தில் மராட்டிய மாநிலம் தேஹு என்னும் இடத்திலிருந்து ஸ்ரீ.துகாராம் அவர்களின் பாதுகைகளை தாங்கிய பல்லக்கு ஏராளமான பக்தர்களுடன் பண்டரிபுரம் நோக்கி வருகிறது . பக்தர்கள் பாத யாத்திரையாக ஸ்ரீ துக்காராம் மஹாராஜூடனேயே பாடிக்கொண்டு வருவதாக பாவித்து பாண்டுரங்கன் மேல் பல பாடல்களை பாடிக்கொண்டு ( இவற்றை அபங்கங்கள் என்று கூறுகிறார்கள் ) அந்த பல்லக்கை தொடர்ந்து வருகிறார்கள் .

 இதுபோலவே மராட்டிய மாநிலம் ஆலந்தி என்னும் இடத்திலிருந்து ஸ்ரீ ஞானேஸ்வரரின் பாதுகைகளை தாங்கிய பல்லக்கு பக்தர்களுடன் புறப்படுகிறது. இவை சரியாக ஆஷாட ஏகாதசியன்று பண்டரிபுரம் சென்று சேரும் வகையில் பல நாட்களுக்கு முன்பாகவே புறப்பட்டு வருகிறது . ஆங்காங்கே பல ஊர்களிலிருந்தும் மக்கள் வழியில் சேர்ந்துகொள்ள பக்தர்கள் வெள்ளம் ஆஷாட ஏகாதசியன்று பண்டரிபுரத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கிறது, பாண்டுரங்கனின் பாடல்களை பக்தி பரவசத்துடன் பாடிக்கொண்டு. இந்த ஆண்டு ஆஷாட ஏகாதசி ( அல்லது தேவசயன ஏகாதசி ).

 பானுதாசர் விட்டலனின் பரமபக்தர். அவனை தரிசிக்காமல் நீர் கூட அருந்தமாட்டார். பானுதாசரின் காலத்தில் சக்கரவர்த்தியாகக் கோலோச்சிக்கொண்டிருந்த கிருஷ்ணதேவராயர். விட்டலனின் அழகில் மயங்கி, இந்த விக்கிரகத்தைக் கொண்டு போய், தன்னுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்துவிட்டார்.

 இந்த விவரம் தெரியாமல், பானுதாசர் வழக்கப் படி கண்ணனை தரிசனம் செய்ய வந்தார். கருவறையில் விட்டலன் இல்லை. துடித்துப் போனார். தேடித் தேடி, இறுதியில் அவர் விட்டலனின் இருப்பிடத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்து விட்டார். இறைவனின் திருவடிகளில் தலையை வைத்துக் கண்ணீர் உகுத்தபடி, அப்படியே அணைத்துக்கொண்டார். அப்போது கண்ணன் தன் கழுத்து துளசி மாலையையும், வைர மாலை யையும் எடுத்து, பானுதாசரின் கழுத்தில் போட்டு அழகு பார்த்தான்.

கண்ணனின் நகையைத் திருடியவரை சூலத்தில் ஏற்றிக் கொல்லுங்கள்

 பானுதாசரின் கழுத்தில் வைரமாலையைக் கண்ட காவலர்கள், மன்னரிடம் இழுத்துப் போயினர். ‘கண்ணனின் நகையைத் திருடியவரை சூலத்தில் ஏற்றிக் கொல்லுங்கள்’ என்று ஆணையிட்டார் மன்னர்.

 தண்டனையை நிறைவேற்ற முயன்றபோது, வாசம் வீசும் ஒரு பூச்செடியாக மாறியது சூலக்கம்பம். மன்னர் தன் தவற்றை உணர்ந்தார். பானுதாசருடன் கண்ணனையும் ஒரு பல்லக்கில் ஏற்றி, பண்டரிபுரத்துக்கே வழியனுப்பி வைத்தார்.

 இந்த வைபவம் இன்றும் பண்டரீபுரத்தில் வருடாவருடம் ‘ஆஷாட ஏகாதசி’யாகக் கோலா கலமாகக் கொண்டாடப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

 பாண்டுரங்கன் பக்தர்களின் உள்ளம் கவர்ந் தவன். பக்தர்களோடு கொஞ்சிக் குலாவுபவன். பல லீலைகளை நிகழ்த்துபவன். ஆலயத்தில் எப்போதும் விட்டலனைத் துதித்து, பக்தர்கள் பஜனைப் பாடல்களைப் பாடிய வண்ணம் இருக்கிறார்கள். பாண்டுரங்கனைத் துதிக்கும் ‘அபங்’ என்ற மராத்தியப் பிரார்த்தனைப் பாடல்கள் மிகப் பிரபலம்.

பாண்டுரங்கனைத் தரிசிப்போம். பரவசம் கொள்வோம்!

 Ashadhi Ekadashi also known in various names like Maha-ekadashi, Padma Ekadashi and Devpodhi Ekadashi is the 11th lunar day of the Hindu month of Ashada which falls in June or July. Followers of Vishnu, also called Vaishnavas consider this day as a holy day with special significance. Images of Vishnu and Lakshmi are worshipped on this day followed by an entire night of offering prayers in the form of songs.

This is a religious procession where people sing and dance in groups praising Vishnu which is called as Dindis. As per beliefs, it is said that this custom was started way back in the year 1810. Ashadi Ekadashi being just few days away, on July 15 this year, this day is also of great importance at Vithal( incarnation of Vishnu) Temple in Pandharpur, Maharashtra. The pilgrims are also known as Warkaris who carry images of various saints of Maharashtra in huge palkhis.

It is believed that on this day Vishnu goes off to sleep in Ksheer Sagar meaning ocean of milk perched on Shesha Naga for a good duration of four months. These four months are called as Chaturmas. Fasting also known as vrat is observed on the first day of the beginning of this month. And after four months Vishnu wakes up from his slumber and that day is known as Prabodhini Ekadashi.

It is said that there was king named Mandata who ruled a highly prosperous and rich kingdom. The people of his kingdom were exceptionally happy with his ruling. However, there once came a time when the kingdom fell under famine and drought with scarce rains for three years. People suffered from starvation and invariably ended up blaming the King for his past sins. The king having absolutely no clue of what mistakes he did, he set out on a long journey. In his journey he met many wise men but none could offer any solution.

That is when King Mandata met Sage Angira who told him that instead of looking for the reason behind his people’s sufferings, look for solutions that can bring rains to your kingdom. He asked the King to worship Vishnu on the day of Devshayani Ekadashi and observe fast with every ritual followed.

Shesh shaiya Vishnu

With much relief, the King returned to his kingdom and did everything as advised by the sage and his whole family joined him in this. In no time, the results of his Devshayani Ekadashi Vrat could be witnessed by the people of his kingdom. And like every happy ending, the kingdom too got its lost glory back with rains washing away every trace of suffering.

Hence in today’s times people still observe fasts on this day believing that they will be blessed with peace, prosperity and happiness by Vishnu. The story of this vrath is said to be narrated to Narad by Brahma.

தெய்வங்களின் குணமே கிரஹங்களின் குணம்!

சோதிட சாஸ்திரத்தில் கிரகங்களின் குணம் எந்த தெய்வத்தின் குணத்தை ஒத்துள்ளது என கண்டறிந்து, அந்த தெய்வத்தை அதிதேவதையாக உள்ளனர். ஒவ்வொரு தெய்வமும் ஒவ்வொரு கிரகத்திற்கு அதிதேவதை.

சூரியன் – சிவன்

பரமனும், பார்வதியும் படியளப்பவர்கள் என்ற வழக்கு உண்டு. அதுபோலவே அனைத்திற்கும் மூலகாரணாய் சூரியன் இருக்கிறான். அவன் கொடைக்கு நிகரில்லை. உலகில் உள்ள அனைத்து உயிர்களுக்கும் அவன் உதவியின்றி பிராணன் கிடைப்பதில்லை. ஆகவே சூரியன் சிவனானார்.

சந்திரன் – பார்வதி

பரமன் மனைவி பார்வதி, சந்திரனுக்கு அதிதேவதை. பூமியை தாயைப் போல் குளிரூட்டும் கிரகம். சூரியனிடத்தில் வெப்பத்தை பெற்று குளிர்ந்த ஒளியாய் தந்து நீர் நிலைகளை பொங்க வைக்கும்.

இந்த இரண்டுகிரகங்களின் நிலை சாதகத்தில் – நல்ல முறையில் இருந்தால், ஒரு ஜாதகர் தன் இன பந்துக்களுடன் இனிதே வாழ்வான் என்பது உறுதி.

செவ்வாய் : சுப்ரமண்யர்

ஜாதகத்தில் வீரத்திற்கு இன்றியமையாதது செவ்வாய் பலம். இரும்பு கிரகம். உடல் பலத்திற்கு இன்றியமையாதது செவ்வாயின் நிலை.

வீரத்தில் சிறந்த தெய்வம் முருகன். சுக்குக்கு மிஞ்சிய வைத்தியமும் இல்லை சுப்பிரமணியருக்கு மிஞ்சி தெய்வமும் இல்லை என்பது பழமொழி. அசுரர்களை தேவர்களுக்காக வதம் செய்த தெய்வம் முருகன். ஆதலால் செவ்வாய்க்கு அதிதேவதை சுப்பிரமணியர்.

புதன் : விஷ்ணு

ஒரே நேரத்தில் இருவேறு குணத்தைக் கொண்ட கிரகம். தற்சுழற்சி குறைவானது. தெய்வத்தில் இரு நிறம் கொண்ட தெய்வம் விஷ்ணு. அதுபோலவே ஒருபுறம் கடும் வெப்பமும் மறுபுறம் கடும் குளிரும் கொண்டது. எந்த கிரகத்தின் நேர்கோட்டில் 10 பாகைக்குள் உள்ளதோ அதன் குணத்தை பிரதிபலிக்க வல்லது. நியாயம் தவறாமல் கடமையை செய்வதற்கு இன்றியமையாதது இதன் நிலை.

குரு : பிரம்மா, தட்சிணாமூர்த்தி (குரு)

ஜாதகத்தில் கல்வி, கேள்வி, கீர்த்திக்கு வழிவகுக்கும் கிரகம். தற்சுழற்சி அதிகம் உள்ளது. இருக்கும் இடத்தைவிட பார்க்கும் இடமே விருத்தியாகும். ஆசிரியர் போன்ற குணத்தை உடையது.

சுக்ரன் : லக்ஷ்மி, இந்திரன்

ஒரு ஜாதகத்தில மற்ற கிரகங்கள் நிலை கெட்டிருந்தாலும் அதை நிவர்த்தி செய்ய வல்ல கிரகம் சுக்ரன். களத்திர காரகன். லக்ஷ்மியை போல் ஐஸ்வர்யத்தை கொடுக்கக் கூடிய கிரகம். ராஜயோகத்தையும், சுகபோக வாழ்க்கையையும், மனைவி வழி சொத்து சேர்க்கையையும் மனைவியின் குண நலத்தையும் கொடுக்கும். 8ம் இடத்திற்கு உரிய கிரகம். இந்திரன் குணத்தைக் கொண்டது. மழைக்கு காரணமான குளிர்ந்த கிரகம்.

சனி : எமன், சாஸ்தா

உஷ்ணத்தை பிரதிபலிக்கும் கிரகம். ஜாதகத்தில் சனியின் நிலையே மரணத்தின் வகையை நிர்ணயிக்கும். சனி 0 பாகையில் குளிர்ச்சியை கொடுக்கும். அதனால் சாஸ்தாவிற்கு நிகராக சொல்லப்பட்து. ஆனால் பார்வை உக்கிரமானது. கொடுப்பதிலும், அழிப்பதிலும் சனிக்கு நிகர் சனியே வேறு கிரகம் இல்லை (ஆயுள் காரகன்).

(விதிமுறையும்) இல்லை

 ஐம்பது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக எனக்குள் ஒரு கேள்வி: ஒன்றேயான கடவுளின் பல வடிவங்களான பல தேவதைகளுக்குத்தான் மூல மந்திரங்கள் உள்ளனவே தவிர, மூலமான ஒரே கடவுளுக்கென அந்த மந்திரமும் இல்லாதிருப்பது ஏன் என்பதே கேள்வி.

 ப்ரணவம் எனும் ‘ஓம்’ மூலக்கடவுளுக்கே உரித்தான மந்திரந்தான் ஆயினும் வேறு பல மகான்களின் கருத்துக்கு மாறாக, சாஸ்திரக் கருத்தையே மட்டுமே ப்ரணவ ஜபம் செய்யலாம், ஏனையோர் முதலில் ‘ஓம்’ என்று கூறி அதோடு குறிப்பிட்டதொரு தேவதைக்கான மந்திரத்தைச் சொல்லலாமே  தவிர, தனியாக ப்ரணவ ஜபம் செய்யலாகாது என்று கூறி வந்துள்ளார்.

 ப்ரணவம் எனும் ஓம்காரம் நமக்குள் தன்னியல்பாகவே இதயத்தை ஒட்டிய அநாஹத சக்கரத்திலிருந்து எழும் ஒலி; எனவே சிலருக்குத் தன்னியல்பாகவே ‘ஓம்’ என்பது ஒலிக்கும். அவர்கள் மட்டுமே துறவியாய் இல்லாவிடினும் ப்ரணவ ஜபம் செய்யலாம் என்பது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின்  கருத்து.

 இவ்விஷயமாக ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளையே கேட்டுத் தெளிவு பெறவேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்துடன் முப்பத்தேழு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு, அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் முகாமிட்டிருந்த தேனம்பாக்கத்துக்குச் சென்றேன். நேரம்: மாலை ஐந்து மணி. முகாமில் இருந்த கிணற்றின் ஒரு புறத்தில் இருந்த குடிலை ஒட்டிய பகுதியிலிருந்து  ஸ்ரீபெரியவாள் தரிசனம் தருவார்கள்; கிணற்றின் மறுபுறத்திலிருந்து மக்கள் தரிசனம் பெறுவார்கள்.

 அன்றும் அப்படியே நடந்தது. நாங்கள் 40-50 பேர் இருந்தோம். வழக்கம் போல் அதில் பல்வேறு வயதினரும், பல்வேறு சமூகத்தினரும் இருந்தோம். ஓரிரு வெளிநாட்டவரும் இருந்தனர். தரிசனத்தின்போது  ஓர் ஐயங்கார் மாது, நேற்றிரவு  பெரியவாள்  சொப்பனத்தில் வந்து ஏதோ ஒரு மந்திரம் உபதேசித்தீர்கள்;

  ஆனால் என் துரதிர்ஷ்டம். இன்று காலை அந்த மந்திரம் மறந்து போய்விட்டது!  பெரியவாள் அவசியம் அந்த மந்திரத்தை மறுபடி உபதேசிக்க வேணும். எப்பொழுது மடியாக வந்து அந்தரங்கமாக உபதேசம் பெறலாம்?” என மிகவும் ஆதுரத்துடன் வினவினார்.  அப்பொழுது சாஸ்திரக் காவலரான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளா பேசுகிறார் என்று பேராச்சர்யம் அடையுமாறு அவர்கள் கூறிய மறுமொழி: மடியும் வேண்டாம்; அந்தரங்கமும் வேண்டாம்; பகிரங்கமாக எல்லோருக்குமாகச் (அம்மந்திரத்தை) சொல்கிறேன்.” – இப்படிச் சொல்லி கணீரென்ற தெய்வத்தின் குரலில், அம்பகவ”: அம் பகவ”: அம் பகவ”: என மும்முறை உபதேசித்தார்கள்.

 இப்படியும் மந்திரமூர்த்தியே ஆகிய ஸ்ரீமஹாபெரியவாளிடமிருந்து கேளாமலே உபதேசமா என்ற பேருவகையுடன் அங்கு கூடியிருந்த எல்லோரும் ‘அம் பகவ’:மந்திரோபதேசம் பெற்றோம்.  ஆச்சர்ய உணர்வைத் தொடரும் விதத்தில் அவர்கள் ‘இதை ஜபிக்க எந்த நியமமும் (விதிமுறையும்) இல்லை.

 எவரும், எந்த நேரமும் ஜபிக்கலாம்’ என்றும் கூறினார்கள்.  மந்திரத்தின் உச்சரிப்பு: UMBHAGAVAHA (UMBRELLA என்பதிலுள்ள UM ஒலி) ‘பகவ’ என்பதன் முடிவான  ‘வ’: என்பதை ‘வஹ’ என்று கூறவேண்டும். ஒலியியலின்படி ‘வ’ என்பதற்கும் ‘வஹ’ என்பதற்குமிடையே சிறு மாறுபாடு உண்டு. ஆனால் நாம் அதைக் கருத்தில் கொள்ள வேண்டியதில்லை. அன்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளும் ‘வஹு’ என்றே ஸ்பஷ்டமாக மொழிந்தார்கள்.

 ஆகக்கூடி எந்த மந்திர சாஸ்திர நூலிலும் காணப்படாத ‘அம் பகவ’: என்ற மகா மந்திரம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் வாய்மொழியில் நமக்கெல்லாம் ஓர் அமுதச்சுனையாகக் கிடைத்துவிட்டது! ‘பகவ’: என்பதற்கு ‘பகவானே!’ என்று பொருள். ‘அம்’ என்பது ஒரு மங்கல அக்ஷரம்.  நெடுங்காலமாக எனக்குள் இருந்த கேள்விக்கான பதிலும் கிடைத்துவிட்டது! அனைத்து தெய்வங்களுமான மூலக் கடவுளுக்குரிய மந்திரம் ‘அம் பகவ!’எந்த தெய்வத்தை இஷ்டமூர்த்தியாகக் கொண்டவரும் இம் மந்திரத்தை அம்மூர்த்திக்குரியதாகக் கருதி ஜபிக்கலாம் என்றும், ‘பகவ;’ என்பது ஆண்பாலில் இருந்தாலும் பெண் தெய்வங்களை ஸ்மரித்தும் இதனை ஜபிக்கலாம் என்று பெரியவரிடமிருந்து விளக்கம் பெற்றோம். ஸ்ரீபெரியவாள் தமது நீண்ட நெடிய நூறாண்டு வாழ்வில் அன்று ஒரே ஒருநாள்தான் இப்படியொரு மந்திரத்தை – அதுவும் பஹிரங்கமாக மொழிந்திருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது இன்னொரு பேராச்சர்யம்!

எல்லோருக்குமான இத் தங்கப் புதையலை 36 ஆண்டுகள் நான் எனக்குள் மட்டுமே வைத்திருக்கிறேன்!. ஸ்ரீ மகா பெரியவர்களையே  இஷ்டதேவதையாகக் கொண்ட சிலர் இம்மந்திர ஜபத்தால் தங்களுக்கு விசேஷ மான பலன் கிடைப்பதாக உவகையுடன் கூறுகிறார்கள்.

அந்த அந்த கிழமைகளில் வரும் பிரதோஷத்தின் பலன்!

இன்று பிரதோஷம் தினம்

மாதந்தோறும் இருமுறை – வளர்பிறை, தேய் பிறை திரயோதசி ( 13 ம் நாள் ) நாட்கள் பிரதோஷ தினங்களாகும். இந்நாட்களில் மாலை 4.30 மணி முதல் 6.00 மணி வரையிலான நேரம் பிரதோஷ காலமாகும். இந்த நேரத்தில் பரமசிவனை வணங்கி வழிபட்டால் மற்ற நாட்களில் ஏற்படும் துன்பங்கள் நீங்கி இன்பம் பெறலாம் என்பது நம்பிக்கை.

பிரதோஷம் என்றால் என்ன?

 சிவபெருமான் ஆலகால விஷத்தை அருந்தி நீலகண்டனானது இந்தப் பிரதோஷ நேரத்தில் தான். தேவர்களும், அசுரர்களும் போட்டி போட்டுக் கொண்டு பாற்கடலைக் கடைந்தபோது திருமகள், ஐராவதம், காமதேனு, கற்பகத்தரு, சிந்தாமணி, கௌஸ்துப மணி முதலியவை ஒவ்வொன்றாகத் தோன்றின. லட்சுமியைத் திருமால் ஏற்றுக் கொண்டார். மற்ற பொருட்களை இந்திராதி தேவர்கள் ஏற்றுக் கொண்டனர். ஆனால் கூடவே கொடிய ஆலகால விஷமும் வெளிப்பட்டது. இதைக்கண்டு தேவர்களும், முனிவர்களும் பெரிதும் நடுங்கினர். உயிர்களைக் காப்பாற்ற பரமசிவன் அந்த ஆலகால விஷத்தை உண்டார். தன் கணவரின் உடலில் விஷம் பரவுவதைக்கண்ட பார்வதி தேவி தன் தளிர்க்கரங்களால் அவரைத் தொட விஷம் சிவனின் நெஞ்சுக் குழியிலேயே நின்றுவிட்டதால் இறைவன் நீலகண்டனானார். இந்த நேரம் தான் பிரதோஷ காலம் என்று வணங்கப்படுகிறது.

ஒவ்வொரு மாதமும் அமாவசைக்குப் பின், பௌர்ணமிக்குப் பின் என்று இரண்டு பிரதோஷ நாட்களிலும் சிவாலயங்களில் குறித்த நேரத்தில் சிறப்பு வழிபாடு நடைபெறுகிறது. சிவனுக்குப் பால், தேன், தயிர், சந்தனம், பன்னீர், திருநீறு மற்றும் பஞ்சாமிர்தத்தால் அபிஷேகம் செய்து வில்வம், அரளி, தாமரை, மல்லிகை மலர்களால் அர்ச்சனை செய்த பின் தீபாராதனை நடைபெறும்.

இறைவனுடன் கூடவே அவருடைய வாகனமான நந்தி தேவருக்கும் அபிஷேகம் நடைபெறும். இவருக்கு எண்ணெய், பால், தயிர், சந்தனம், இளநீர் போன்றவற்றை அபிஷேகத்திற்காகத் தரலாம். பின் அருகம் புல், பூ சாற்றிய பின் வில்வத்தால் அர்ச்சனை செய்வது வழக்கம். நந்தி தேவரது தீபாராதனைக்குப் பின் மூலவரான லிங்கத்திற்கு நடக்கும் தீபாராதனையை நந்தியின் இரண்டு கொம்புகளுக்கிடையே பார்த்து தரிசிக்க நம் தோஷங்கள் நீங்கி நன்மையுண்டாகும்.

சூரிய திசை நடப்பவர்கள் கண்டிபாக ஞாயிறு அன்று வரும் பிரதோசத்திற்கு பரமசிவனை வணங்க செல்ல வேண்டும்.

 பலன் :

இதனால் சூரிய பகவன் அருள் நமக்கு கிட்டும். இந்த திசையினால் வரும் துன்பம் விலகும்.பிரிந்த குடும்பம் ஒன்று சேரும்.

 திங்கள் பிரதோஷம்:

பிரதோஷத்தில் ஸோமவரம்(திங்கள்) மிகவும் சிறப்பு வாய்ந்தது. சந்திர திசை நடப்பவர்கள், சந்திரனை லக்னாதிபதியாக கொண்டவர்கள் திங்கள் அன்று வரும் பிரதோசத்திற்கு பரமசிவனை வணங்க செல்ல வேண்டும்.

 பலன் :

மன நிம்மதியும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் கிட்டும். மன வலிமை பெருகும்.

 செவ்வாய் பிரதோஷம்:

செவ்வாய் திசை நடப்பவர்கள், செவ்வாயை லக்னாதிபதியாக கொண்டவர்கள் செவ்வாய் அன்று வரும் பிரதோசத்திற்கு செல்ல வேண்டும். மனிதனுக்கு வரும் ரூனம் மற்றும் ரணத்தை நீக்க கூடிய பிரதோஷம் இது.

 பலன் :

புதனால் வரும் கெடு பலன் நீங்கும். கல்வி சிறக்கும். அறிவு வளரும். படிக்காத பிள்ளை படிக்கும். பெற்றோர்கள் தங்கள் குழந்தைகளை தவறாமல் புதன் அன்று வரும் பிரதோசத்திற்கு பரமசிவனை வணங்க அழைத்து செல்ல வேண்டும், இதனால் அவர்கள் கல்வி சிறக்கும். தேர்வில் அதிக மதிப்பெண் பெறுவார்கள்.

சனி பிரதோஷம் என்று கூரமட்டர்கள், சனி மஹா பிரதோஷம் என்றே கூறுவார்கள். ஏன் என்றால் அத்தனை சிறப்பு வாய்ந்தது சனி கிழமை வரும் பிரதோஷம். எந்த திசை நடந்தாலும் சனி பிரதோஷம் அன்று கோவிலுக்கு சென்று சிவனை வழிபடு்வது சிறப்பு. ஏழரை சனி, அஸ்தம சனி நடப்பவர்கள் சனியினால் வரும் துன்பத்தை போக்க கண்டிப்பாக சனி பிரதோஷத்திற்கு பரமசிவனை வணங்க செல்ல வேண்டும்.

ஒரு சனி பிரதோஷம் சென்றால் 120 வருடம் பிரதோஷம் சென்ற பலன் கிடைக்கும். கிரக தோசத்தால் ஏற்படும் தீமை குரையும். பஞ்சமா பாவமும் நீங்கும். சிவ அருள் கிட்டும்.

Pradosha pooja most sacred – Somasutra Pradakshinam!

Pradosha pooja is one of the most sacred and important according to PRADOSHA PURANA

Once the gods (Devas) and the demons (Asuras) were churning the milky ocean with the help of Vasuki, the serpent king, hoping to extract amrtam (nectar) from the Kseerabthi (milk ocean). Vasuki who was employed as a rope for churning, endured severe abrasions and strangulation. Thereupon, she spewed halahalam, a potent dark poison capable of destroying the worlds. Threatened by the scorching venom, the celestials fled in great horror. Brahma took to His heels. Vishnu’s bluish body darkened further. Indra could not be seen. Agni, the fire god, could not bear the raging heat. Yama ran amuck in all directions. Varuna became unconscious, Kubera fled. Hosts of siddhas, Caranas, Gandharvas, Yakshas and Maharshis went to Kailasa and sought the Lord’s feet as refuge.

God Shiva was moved with pity at their plight and was overcome with compassion by their prayers. Soon He bade Sundara for a prompt intervention, who then rushed to the ocean, collected the all-pervasive poison and holding it in his hand as a small jambu fruit, returned to Kailasa. The Lord became exceedingly happy after seeing it. He showed it to Girija and gave the title ‘Halahala’ to Sundara, who thenceforth came to be known as Halahala Sundara. Thereupon, the Lord accepted the Halahala pellet from his hand and, with the loving permission of Universal Mother, swallowed it. By goddessUma’s command, the pellet froze in the Lord’s throat, painting it blue and becoming an embellishment, gave Him the name NilakanTa. [It is also a common practice for womanhood to worship Goddess Parvathi for long life of Husbands as She is having ‘Maangalya Baagyam’ and could turn the poison into nectar].

On Trayodhasi(thirteenth moon day) they realised their sin of not praying the God and pleaded for forgiveness. The pleased graceful Lord Shiva forgave them and danced between the horns of the Nandhi (Holy Bull). That time is called Pradhosham. Whoever Prays Lord Shiva in that time, Lord Shiva fulfills their wishes and give them mukthi.  Anoint Lord Shiva with Love, He would give Himself!

Among the poojas performed by Shaivites to the Graceful Lord Shiva. In Shukla Paksha (15 moon days from new moon to full moon) and Krishna Paksha (15 moon days from full moon to new moon) the evening of the Trayodasi (thirteenth moon day) between 4.30 pm to 6.00 p.m. is called “Pradosham”. It comes once in fifteen moon days. Pradosha time is to Pray Lord Shiva and invoke His Blessings. Praying in this time will free us from sins and givesMoksha (hence the name Pradosha). During Pradosha time, a special type of circumambulating called (“Somasutra Pradakshinam) which is elaborated in this site separately.

Following is considered fruitful.

Somasuthra Pradakshinam is a unique way of circumambulating the GOD.

First saluting the Rishabha Devar (Holy Bull or Nandi) go anti-clockwise and salute Chandishwarar (not crossing the Gomukhi). Now return in the clockwise manner salute Rishabham and continue clockwise till the Gomukhi (not to cross it again). Then return in anti-clockwise direction salute the Rishabham again and proceed towards chaNdIshar. From there return back clockwise without worshiping Rishabham and reach the Gomukhi. Finally return back anticlockwise from there to salute Rishabham and continue to Chandishwarar and return back to Rishabham and worship the Shiva Lingam (at the altar) by viewing through the space between the two horns of the Holy Bull. This is one Pradakshinam. Three such times Pradakshinam to be done. If you carefully observe the curve traced by doing the pradakshinam is very similar to the periphery of the crescent. Hence this way of circumambulating is called Somasutra Pradakshinam.

During the pradhosham time Somasootra Pradakshinam is the recommended way of circumambulating the God. In many of the temples this is followed always. A point to note here is that the gomukhi is never crossed. gomukhi is the place where the water after anointing (abhiSheka theertham) would be flowing northwards out. By doing this way of Pradakshinam one does not step over this holy water.

As per the above marked symbols this Pradakshinams is to be done. First saluting the R^iShabha devar (Holy Bull) go anti-clockwise and salute chaNdIshar (not crossing the Gomukhi). Now return in the clockwise manner salute VruShabham and continue clockwise till the Gomukhi (not cross it again). Then return in anti-clockwise direction salute the RiShabham again and proceed towards Chadeeshar. From there return back clockwise without worshiping Rishabham and reach the Gomukhi. Finally return back anti-clockwise from there to salute Rishabham and continue to chandIshar and return back to Rishabham and worship the Shiva Lingam (at the altar) by viewing through the space between the two horns of the Holy Bull. This is onePradakshinam. Three such times Pradakshinam is to be performed.

If you carefully observe the curve traced by doing the Pradakshinam is very similar to the periphery of the crescent. Hence this way of circumambulating is called Somasutra Pradakshinam.

சீரடி சாய்பாபா ஆலயம் 40 தகவல்கள்

1. சீரடியில் சாய்பாபா தவம் செய்த இடம், தூங்கிய இடம், சமாதியான இடம் எல்லாம் ஒருங்கிணைக்கப்பட்டு மிகச் சிறந்த வழிபாட்டுத் தலமாக மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது.

2. சாய்பாபா சமாதி மந்திரில் உள்ள சாய்பாபா சிலை தத்ரூபமாக வடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. நீங்கள் எங்கு நின்றாலும் பாபா உங்களைப் பார்ப்பது போலவே இருக்கும்.

3. சீரடி ஆலயத்தை மிக, மிக சுத்தமாக வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

4. ஆலயத்துக்குள் மினி மருத்துவமனை ஒன்று உள்ளது. அங்கு ரத்ததானம் செய்யலாம்.

5. பக்தர்களின் நலனைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டு ஆலய வளாகத்துக்குள் ஆம்புலன்ஸ் ஒன்றை எப்போதும் தயார் நிலையில் நிறுத்தி இருக்கிறார்கள்.

6. ஆலயத்துக்குள் உண்டியல் தவிர பெரிய அளவில் ரொக்கம், தங்கம், வெள்ளி காணிக்கை செலுத்த தனி கவுண்டர் வசதி உள்ளது.

7. கோவில் உள்பகுதியில் பெண்கள் தங்கள் குழந்தைகளுக்கு தாய்ப்பால் கொடுக்க தனி இட வசதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
8. பக்தர்கள் உதி அக்னியில் போட தேங்காய் வாங்கி கொடுக்கலாம். அந்த தேங்காயைப் பெற்றுக் கொள்ள ஆலயத்துக்குள் தனி இடம் உள்ளது.

9. மூன்றாம் எண் நுழைவாயில் வழியாக சென்றால் குருஸ்தானுக்கு முன்பு சமாதி மந்திர் ஜன்னல் வழியாக பாபாவை மிக எளிதாக பார்த்து தரிசனம் செய்யலாம்.

10. சீரடி தேவஸ்தானம் சார்பில் அன்னதானத் திட்டம் செயல்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. பக்தர்கள் அந்த திட்டத்துக்கு பணம் கொடுக்கலாம்.

11. கோவில் வளாகத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியில் (லென்டித் தோட்டம் அருகில்) புத்தக விற்பனை நிலையம் உள்ளது. தமிழ் உள்பட எல்லா மொழி புத்தகங்களும் இங்கு கிடைக்கும். வெளியில் வாங்குவதை விட மிக, மிக, குறைந்த விலையில் இங்கு புத்தகங்கள் விற்பனை செய்யப்படுகிறது.

12. கோவில் உள்ளே ஒரு இடத்தில் விநாயகர் மற்றும் சிவனுக்கு தனி சன்னதிகள் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன.

13. திருப்பதி மாதிரி சீரடியிலும் எப்போதும் பக்தர்கள் கூட்டம் நிரம்பி வழிகிறது. திருப்பதியில் ஜருகண்டி, ஜருகண்டி என்பார்கள். சீரடியில் பக்தர்களை சலோ, சலோ… என்று சொல்லி விரைவுபடுத்துகிறார்கள்.

14. கூட்டம் அதிகமாக இருக்கும் நேரங்களில் வேறு வழியின்றி பக்தர்கள் கையை பிடித்தும் இழுத்து விட்டு விடுவார்கள். எனவே பாபாவை கண்டதும் மனம் உருக வேண்டி விடுங்கள்.

15. பாபாவை தரிசனம் செய்து முடித்ததும் மூன்றாம் எண் கேட் வழியாக வெளியே வந்தால் பாபா வசித்த துவாரகமாயியிக்கும், சாவடிக்கும் மிக எளிதாக செல்லலாம்.

16. சீரடியில் ஒவ்வொரு வாரமும் வியாழக்கிழமை துவாரக மாயியில் இருந்து சாவடிக்கு பாபா படம் ஊர்வலமாக எடுத்துச் செல்லப்படுகிறது. நாடெங்கும் உள்ள சாய்பாபா ஆலயங்களில் வியாழந்தோறும் இத்தகைய வழிபாட்டை கடைபிடிக்கிறார்கள்.

17. சீரடியில் பொது மக்கள் கண் எதிரிலேயே தினமும் உண்டியல் பணம் எண்ணப்படுகிறது. உண்டியல் பணத்தை எண்ணி சேவை செய்ய விரும்பும் பொது மக்களும் இதில் கலந்து கொள்ளலாம்.

18. சீரடியில் பாபாவுக்கு நடக்கும் 4 நேர ஆரத்தியில் ஏதாவது ஒரு ஆரத்தியை கண் குளிர பார்க்கும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தாலே அது புண்ணியம் தான்.

19. சீரடிக்கு வரும் பக்தர்களில் 99 சதவீதம் பேர் “சாய்நாத் மகாராஜ்க்கு ஜே” என்று சொல்லத் தவறுவது இல்லை.

20. சீரடியில் சாதாரண நாட்களை விட வியாழக்கிழமைகளில் மட்டும் பக்தர்கள் கூட்டம் இரட்டிப்பு மடங்கு இருக்கும்.

21. சீரடியில் வியாழன், வெள்ளி ஆகிய 2 நாட்கள் மட்டும் சிறப்பு பூஜைகள் நடத்தப்படுவது உண்டு. வேண்டுதல்கள் வைத்திருப்பவர்கள் இந்த இரு நாட்களில் செல்லலாம்.

22. சீரடியில் ஏராளமான ஆட்டோக்கள் உள்ளன. பெரும்பாலும் யாரும் பக்தர்களை ஏமாற்றுவதில்லை.

23. சீரடி தலத்துக்கு இந்துக்கள் மட்டுமின்றி இஸ்லாமியர்களும், சீக்கியர்களும் அதிக அளவில் வந்து வழிபாடு நடத்தி செல்கிறார்கள்.

24. முன்பெல்லாம் சீரடிக்கு வட இந்திய மக்கள் தான் அதிகம் வந்து சென்றனர். தற்போது தென் இந்திய மக்கள் குறிப்பாக தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்கள் அதிக அளவில் சீரடிக்கு சென்ற வண்ணம் உள்ளனர்.

25. சீரடிக்கு நினைத்தவுடன் போய் விட முடியாது. சாய்நாதா உம்மை சரண் அடைந்தேன் என்று மனம் சொல்லி, சொல்லி பக்குபவப்பட்டவர்களை பாபா உடனே அழைத்து தரிசனம் கொடுத்து விடுவார்.

26. பாபா சன்னிதானத்தில் இருபக்கமும் நாலு வரிசையாகப் பிரித்திருக்கிறார்கள். அவரவர் அதிருஷ்டம் எந்த வரிசையில் அமைகிறது என்பது உள்பக்க வரிசையில் செல்வது நல்லது. கடைசி வரிசையில் அமைத்து முன்னால் போய் விட்டால் பாபாவை பார்ப்பது சிரமமாக இருக்கும்.

27. கிட்டத்தட்ட முக்கால் மணிநேரம் பூஜை பஜன் ஆரத்தி எல்லாம் ஆகிறது. அது வரை நின்று கொண்டே இருக்கவேண்டியதுதான். க்யூவில் வந்து சந்நிதானத்துக்கு உள்நுழையும் போது, சற்றே முன்பாகவே நின்று கொண்டு விட்டால் நல்ல தரிசனம் கிடைக்கும்.

28. விருப்பம் இருந்தால் வெளியே உண்டியலில் பணம் போடலாம். கோவிலுக்குள் யாரும் பணம் கொடுவென்று கேட்பதில்லை.

29. சிறப்பு தரிசனமும் கிடையாது. ஐ.எ.எஸ். ஐபிஎஸ் போன்ற முக்கிய அதிகாரிகளின் கடிதம் இருந்தால் ஏதோ ஒரு வழியாக அனுமதிக்கிறார்கள். அப்பிடி இருந்தாலும் கடைசியில் சன்னிதானத்துக்குள் போகும் போது எல்லாம் ஒன்றாகத்தான் போக வேண்டும்.

30. சன்னிதானத்துக்குள் ஒரே நேரத்தில் ஏறத்தாழ 300 பேர் வரை நின்று தரிசிக்கலாம்.

31. உண்மையில் பாபா கோவிலுக்குள் பக்தர்கள் கொண்டு வந்து தரும் எதையுமே ஏற்பதில்லை. நம்மிடமே திருப்பித் தந்து விடுகிறார்கள். ஆகவே பக்த ஜனங்களே வெறும் கையோடும் மனம் நிறைய பிரார்த்தனைகளை சாய்பாபா சந்நிதானத்தில் மனமுருக வேண்டிக்கொண்டால் போதும்.

32. வெளியே வந்ததும் பாபா அமர்ந்திருந்த மரத்துக்கு எதிரே ஊதுவத்தி ஏற்றி வைக்கும் படி அறிக்கை பலகை கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறது. இதுவும் அவரவர் விருப்பம் தான். கட்டாயமில்லை. ஊதுவத்தி புகையில் படிந்த கரியை எல்லாரும் நெற்றியில் இட்டுக் கொள்கிறார்.

33. வாமன் தாத்யா என்ற சாயி பக்தர் தினமும் இரண்டு சூளையிலிடப்படாத பானைகளைக் கொடுப்பார். பாபா தம்முடைய கைகளாலேயே செடிகளுக்குத் தண்ணீர் ஊற்றுவார்.

34. `சாய்’ என்ற சொல்லுக்கு, `சாட்சாத் கடவுள்.’ என்ற அர்த்தமாம்.

35. பாபா பார்க்கிறதுக்கு ரொம்ப எளிமையாக வாழ்ந்தவர்.

36. சாய் பாபா கோயிலை இப்ப திருப்பணியெல்லாம் செஞ்சு ரொம்ப விரிவாக்கி இருக்காங்க.  மொத்தம் நாலு நுழைவாசல்கள் இருக்குது.

37. கேமரா, செல்போன்களுக்கு கோயிலில் அனுமதி கிடையாது. அங்கியே ஒரு சின்னக்கவுண்டர் வெச்சு எல்லாத்தையும் கலெக்ட் செஞ்சுக்கறாங்க. அளவுகளுக்கு தகுந்தாற்போல ஒன்னு ரெண்டா ஒரு சுருக்குப்பையில் போட்டு, நீளமான சட்டத்துல அடிச்சிருக்கிற ஆணியில் தொங்கவிட்டுட்டு, நம்ம கிட்ட டோக்கன் தராங்க.

38. மேடையில் சமாதியின் பின்புறம், இட்டாலியன் மார்பிளாலான பாபாவின் சிலை அழகான வெள்ளிக்குடையின் நிழலில் இருக்குது. ஒரு கல்லில் அமர்ந்தபடி அருள்பாலிக்கும் தோற்றத்தில் பாபாவின் அழகான திருவுருவம். இந்த சிலை பாலாஜிவசந்த் என்பவரால் செய்யப்பட்டது. தூண்கள் அதுல இருக்கற எக்கச்சக்கமான வேலைப்பாடுகளை இன்னிக்கெல்லாம் பாத்துட்டே இருக்கலாம். பொதுவா பாபா இருக்கற அந்த இடம் முழுக்கவே வெள்ளி தகதகன்னுது.

39. பக்தர்கள் கொண்டு செல்லும் மாலைகளை பாபாவுக்கு போட்டுவிட்டு, ஏற்கனவே சாத்தி இருக்கிற மாலைகளில் ஒன்றை உருவி பிரசாதமாகக தருகிறார்கள்.

40. கோயிலுக்குள்ள சாயிபஜன் நடந்து கொண்டே இருக்கும். அது கோயில் முழுக்க ஒலிக்கிற மாதிரி ஆங்காங்கே ஒலி பெருக்கிகள் வைத்து இருக்கிறார்கள்.

Sri Sathya Sai This Day That Year – Taittiriya Upanishad!

“The Upanishads attempt to give men a faint idea of the measure of that Brahma-ananda. The Taittiriya Upanishad assumes the height of human Ananda (bliss) as the unit for estimation. A person having all the wealth he desires, all the renown man can earn, all the learning that can be gained, perfect health, perpetual youth, and undisputed sovereignty over the entire globe – his Ananda is an understandable base from which to proceed.

A hundred times this Manusha-ananda is the Ananda of celestial singers (Gandharvas); a hundred times that is the Ananda of the souls of departed beings dwelling in heavenly regions. Hundred-fold of this is the Ananda of the Divine entities (Ajanma-ja). A hundred times is the Ananda of the gods (Devas); the Lord of the Gods, Indra, is ever in Ananda that is a hundred times more than that of the Gods, Brihaspati, the preceptor of Indra, has Ananda a hundred times more than Indra; and Prajapati, the Lord of Creatures, has a hundred-fold Ananda when compared to Brihaspati. Hiranyagarbha (the Cosmic Golden Manifestation) is the source of a hundred times more Ananda. The Supremest Ananda, the Brahma-Ananda, which is the characteristic of the Guru, is that of Hiranyagarbha.

Man has the potency to elevate himself to this Ananda. Only he has to get rid of the obstacles that deny this experience. He is Brahmam and so his nature is Brahma-Anandam. But, he does not know that all he believes he knows is known only as distorted or deluded. His waking experiences are as unreal and self-contrived as his dream experiences.” – SRI SATHYA SAI

Once one devotee asked Bhagavan, “Swami, only a few students study in our educational institutions. Yet the need for such students in the society is very high. How can just a few students be enough?” Bhagavan then said, “How many soldiers are there in an army” “Several thousand,” came the reply. Swami then asked, “Yet, how many generals manage them? Only a few. This institute is creating generals, not ordinary common soldiers.” What a privilege and responsibility given by the Divine Commander-in-Chief.

While communicating with students one day, Swami remarked, “Your studies in the Institute are like the main dishes of a lunch. Your interactions with Me here are like the side dishes.” Immediately all boys began protesting, “No Swami, our interactions with You are the main dishes, everything else is a side dish.” Look at Swami’s reply here. Swami said, “During lunch, will the main dish like rice be tasty if there was no side dish like Sambar?” Pat came the reply, “No Swami!” Swami then said, “My interactions with you are like the side dish. All your studies in the Institute will not be purposeful and worthy if you do not imbibe the precious lessons you learned here. Remember, the end of education is character. Without character, all you have learned will be a waste. Your interactions with Swami will help you build a good character.”

Perhaps we soldiers can’t interact with the Divine Commander-in-Chief physically now, but we can still communicate directly with Him from the inner hotline…now and forever.

பகவானை சரணாகதி!

பகவான் ரமணரின் உபதேச விளக்கம்

 வாழ்க்கையின் ஒவ்வொரு கணமும் சுகத்தை, இன்பத்தை, சந்தோஷத்தை, பொன், பொருளை, சொத்துகளை தேடி நாம் முயன்றுகொண்டே இருக்கிறோம். ஆனால் பூரண சாஸ்வத இன்பமான மன அமைதி தரும் சந்தோஷத்தை தேடுவதில்லை. நாடுவதில்லை. ஆணவம், அகங்காரம், போட்டி, பொறாமை போன்றவற்றால் பீடிக்கப்பட்டு துன்பம் அடைகிறோம்.

 நாம் எவற்றால் துன்பம் அடைகிறோம்? வேண்டியது கிடைக்காவிட்டால், நினைத்தது நடக்காவிட்டால் துன்பம் அடைகிறோம். வேண்டியது நமக்கு கிடைக்காமல் வேறொருவனுக்கு கிடைக்கும்போது இன்னும் அதிக மன உளைச்சல், துன்பம் அடைகிறோம். இப்படி எல்லாவற்றிலும் அடுத்தவருடன் ஒப்பிட்டுப் பார்ப்பதால் நமக்கு ஏற்படும் மன உளைச்சல் பொருமலாக ஆரம்பித்து, பொறாமையாக உருவெடுத்து, குரோதமாக வெடிக்கிறது. விளைவு உடல்நலம் பாதிப்பு. மனநலம் பாதிப்பு. இதனால் ஏற்படுவது நாசம் மட்டுமே.

 ஒப்பிட்டுப் பார்த்தல் என்பது எல்லோருடனும் நிகழ்வதில்லை. நமக்கு மிகவும் தெரிந்தவர்கள், அருகில் இருப்பவர்கள், குடும்ப நண்பர்கள், உற்றார் உறவினர், ரத்த சொந்தங்கள் என நாம் அறிந்தவர்களோடு மட்டுமே இந்த ஒப்பிட்டு பார்த்தல் நிகழ்கிறது. ‘நான்’ எனும் ஆணவ அகங்கார மமதையே இதற்கு முக்கிய காரணம். அது மட்டுமின்றி, விடை தெரியாத சில கேள்விகளும் காரணமாக இருக்கிறது.

 மனதை குழப்பும் கேள்விகள்

• தவறே செய்யாதவன் தண்டிக்கப்படுகிறான். தவறு செய்தவன் தண்டனையில் இருந்து தப்பிவிடுகிறான். தர்ம நியாயப்படி நடப்பவன் பல துன்பங்களுக்கு ஆளாகிறான். பாவம் செய்பவர்கள் சுகமாக இருக்கின்றனர். எந்த தீய பழக்கமும் இல்லாதவன் கொடிய நோய் தாக்கி மரணமடைகிறான். எல்லா தீய பழக்கங்கள் உள்ள ஒருவன் நிம்மதியாக சாகிறான். இது ஏன்?

திருகயிலாயத்தில்… சிவதரிசனம் கிடைத்த மகிழ்ச்சியில், திரும்பி வந்த அருணன், சூரியனாரிடம் விஷயத்தைச் சொன்னான். ‘மோகினிப் பெண்ணாகவா? உருவம் மாறிச் சென்றாயா? எங்கே மாறிக்காட்டு’ என்றார். அருணன், மோகினியாக மாறினான். அவளது அழகில் சூரியனும் மயங்கினான். விளைவு… சுக்ரீவன் பிறந்தான்.

தனது பக்தனைத் தடுத்து, அவனது ஊனத்தைக் கிண்டல் செய்ததைச் சும்மா விடுவாரா, சிவனார்? சூரியனைச் சபித்தார். உலகுக்கே வெளிச்சம் தந்த இருளடைந்து போனார் சூரியனார். ‘ஏழு மாதங்கள், மேகமண்டலத்தில் எங்களை யானை மீது வைத்து பூஜித்து வா. அப்போதுதான் உனது சாபம் தீரும்’ என அருளினார்.

இதையடுத்து சூரியனார், மேகமண்டலத்தில் யானை மீது, சிவ-பார்வதியை வைத்து பூஜை செய்யத் துவங்கினார். ஆனால், ஏழு மாதங்கள் நிறைவுறுவதற்கு முன்பே, சிவனாரிடம் சென்று, ‘என்ன இது… இன்னும் சாப விமோசனம் தரவில்லையே?’ எனக் கேட்க… வெகுண்டாள் ஸ்ரீபார்வதி. ‘உரிய காலம் வரும்வரை பொறுக்க மாட்டாயா?’ என்று கடும் உக்கிரத்துடன் சூரியனாருக்குச் சாபம் கொடுக்க எழுந்தாள்.

 பதறிப்போன சிவனார், ஏற்கெனவே கொடுத்த சாபத்தால் இருளில் மூழ்கினான் சூரியன். இன்னொரு சாபம் கொடுத்தால், இந்த உலகம் இருளில் விழிபிதுங்கித் தவிக்கும். வேண்டாம் தேவி, சாந்தமாக இரு!’ என்று உமையவளை அமைதிப்படுத்தினார். பிறகு உரிய காலம் வந்ததும், சூரியனாருக்குச் சாப விமோசனம் அளித்தார். அவரின் திருமுகமும் இந்த உலகமும் பழையபடி இருளில் இருந்து வெளிச்சத்துக்கு வந்தது!

சூரியனாருக்கு அருளிய ஈசன், ஸ்ரீமேகநாதர் எனும் திருநாமத்துடன், கஜபிருஷ்ட விமானத்தின் கருவறையில், அனைவருக்கும் அருள்புரிந்து வருகிறார். அந்தத் திருத்தலம், திருமீயச்சூர். இங்கே, ரதசப்தமி விழா விமரிசையாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. சித்திரை மாதம் 21-ம் தேதி முதல் 27-ஆம் தேதி வரை, ஸ்வாமியை தனது கதிர்களால், பூஜிக்கிறார் சூரிய பகவான்!

திருவாரூர் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ளது திருமீயச்சூர் தலம். இந்தத் தலத்துக்கு ஏகப்பட்ட பெருமைகள் உள்ளன. ஸ்ரீசனீஸ்வரர், எமதருமர், அருணன், கருடன், வாலி, சுக்ரீவன் ஆகிய ஆறு பேரின் அவதாரத் திருத்தலம் இது!

திருமீயச்சூர் தலத்துக்கு, ஆந்திரம், கர்நாடகம், கேரளம் என எங்கிருந்தெல்லாமோ ஏராளமான அன்பர்கள், தினமும் வந்தபடி இருக்கின்றனர். சிலிர்ப்பும் பக்தியும் பொங்க, தரிசித்துச் செல்கின்றனர். காரணம்… இந்தத் தலத்தின் நாயகி, ஸ்ரீலலிதாம்பாள்!

உலகின் எல்லா இடங்களில் இருந்தும், ஸ்ரீலலிதா சகஸ்ரநாமம் பாராயணம் செய்து, அவளை அனுதினமும் மனமுருகிப் பிரார்த்திப்பவர்கள் மிக மிக அதிகம்! அதனைப் பாராயணம் செய்தாலே, மன பாரமெல்லாம் போய்விடும். அப்பேர்ப்பட்ட, சக்தியும் சாந்நித்யமும் கொண்ட ஸ்ரீலலிதா சகஸ்ரநாமம் உருவான திருத்தலம், திருமீயச்சூர்!

பண்டாசுரன் எனும் அரக்கனால், துன்பங்களுக்கு ஆளான தேவர்கள், ஈசனின் திருவடியைச் சரணடைந்து கதறினர். அரக்கனை அழிக்க, ஸ்ரீபார்வதியை ஸ்ரீலலிதையாக அவதரிக்கச் செய்தார் ஈசன். கடும் உக்கிரத்துடன் தோன்றிய ஸ்ரீலலிதை, சகஸ்ர கோடி வருடங்கள், அரக்கனுடன் யுத்தம் செய்தாள். இறுதியில் அவனை அழித்தொழித்தாள். ஆனாலும் அவளது உக்கிரம் தணியவில்லை.

 இந்தக் கோபம், பூமிக்கும் மக்களுக்கும் நல்லதல்ல’ என்பதால், ‘ஸ்ரீபுரத்தில் தவம் செய்தால், உனது உக்கிரம் தணியும்’ என அருளினார் சிவபெருமான். இதையடுத்து ஸ்ரீலலிதை ஸ்ரீபுரத்துக்கு வந்தாள். அங்கே கடும் தவம் புரிந்தாள். அவளுக்குள்ளிருந்து ‘வாக் தேவதைகள்’ எட்டுப்பேர் வெளிவந்தனர். ஸ்ரீலலிதையைச் சுற்றி வட்டமாக நின்றனர். ஸ்ரீலலிதையின் கூந்தல், கண்கள், கன்னம், நெற்றி, திருப்பாதம் என அவளது அழகை வியந்து, பாடினர்.

‘அடடா… இத்தனை அழகா எனது கண்கள்? பிறகு ஏன் இவ்வளவு கொடூரமாகப் பார்க்கவேண்டும்?! என் கன்னமும் நெற்றியும் அழகு பொருந்தியிருக்கிறதா? அப்புறம் எதற்காக, முகத்தை உக்கிரமாக வைத்திருக்கவேண்டும்? நெடுநெடுவென, கரிய நிறத்தில் வளர்ந்திருக்கிறதாமே கூந்தல்? அந்தக் கூந்தலை தலைவிரி கோலமாகவா வைத்திருப்பது?!’ என யோசித்தாள். எட்டுத் தேவதைகளும் அந்த ஸ்தோத்திரத்தைப் பாடப்பாட… அவளது உக்கிரம் காணாமல் போனது. அவளுக்குள் சாந்தமும் கருணையும் பொங்கிப் பிரவாகித்தன! அதே தலத்தில் இருந்தபடி, அன்பர்களுக்கு அருட்கடாட்சத்தை அள்ளித்தர திருவுளம் கொண்டாள்.

நீர் நிரப்பினால் எவ்வித சிரமமும் இன்றி குணமடையும்!

 மூலஸ்தான மாரியம்மன் புற்று மண்ணால் உருவானது என்பது ஒரு தனிச் சிறப்பாகும். மூலவர் அம்மன் புற்று மண்ணால் ஆனதால் மூலஸ்தான அம்பாளுக்கு அபிஷேகங்கள் செய்யப்படுவதில்லை. தைலக் காப்பு சாற்றப்படுகிறது.

 விஷ்ணு துhக்கைக்கும,; அம்பாள் உற்சவ மூர்த்திக்கும் நித்தியபடி அபிஷேகம் நடைபெறுகிறது. அம்பாளுக்கு 5 வருடத்திற்கு ஒரு முறை ஒரு மண்டலம் தைல காப்பு அபிஷேகம் நடைபெறும். அச்சமயம் ஒரு மண்டலம் அம்பாளை ஒரு வெண் திரையில் வரைந்து உபசாரம் செய்து, அர்ச்சனை ஆராதனைகள் நடைபெறும். அப்போது மூலஸ்தான அம்பாளுக்கு 48 நாட்களிலும் தினமும் இரு வேளை சாம்பிராணி தைலம், புணுகு, அரகஜா, ஜவ்வாது ஆகியவற்றால் அபிஷேகம் நடைபெறும்.

 தைலாபிஷேக நேரத்தில் அம்பாளின் தைலகாப்பின்போது உக்ரம் அதிகமாகும். அதை தவிர்க்க அம்பாளுக்கு தயிர் பள்ளயம், இளநீர் வைத்து நைவேத்தியம் நடைபெறும். சுமார் 6 அடி உயரத்தில் பிரமாண்டமாக காட்சி தருகிறாள் அம்மன். அம்மை நோய் 2 அல்லது 3 தினங்களிலேயே இத்தலத்தில் வழிபடுவோர்க்கு குணமாகிவிடுகிறது.

உள்தொட்டி நிரப்புதல்:

 அம்மன் சன்னதிக்கு அருகில் உள்ள தொட்டி உள்தொட்டி என்றும், பிரகாரத்தை சுற்றி உள்ள தொட்டி வெளித்தொட்டி என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. அம்மை நோய்கண்டவர்கள் இந்த இரண்டு தொட்டிகளிலும் குடம் குடமாக தண்ணீர் ஊற்றுகின்றனர். இவ்வாறு செய்வதால் அம்பாளின் உஷ்ணம் தணிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் கோடைநாட்களில் அம்பாளுக்கு முகத்திலும், சிரசிலும் முத்து முத்தாக வியர்வை வியர்த்து தானாக மாறிவிடும் பழக்கம் தற்போது வரை உள்ளது. இதன் காரணமாகவே அன்னையை முத்துமாரி என்று அழைக்கின்றார்கள்.

 குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் பெரியவர்களுக்கு வைசூரி வார்க்கும் சமயத்தில் அம்மனுக்கு பிரார்த்தனை செய்து உள்தொட்டி, வெளித்தொட்டிகளில் நீர் நிரப்பினால் விரைவில் எவ்வித சிரமமும் இன்றி குணமடையும் .

 இங்கு உட்பிரகாரத்தில் பைரவ உபாசகராக இருந்து குறைவிலா அன்னதானம் செய்ததுடன் தனது சித்தியினால் அனைவருக்கும் திருநீறு அளித்து வந்து தீராத நோயெல்லாம் தீர்த்து வைத்திருக்கிறார். ஸ்ரீசதாசிவ பிரம்மேந்திர சுவாமிகளால் மாரியம்மன் யந்திர பிரஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டதாகும். ஆகம விதிப்படி தினசரி நான்கு கால பூஜை நடைபெறும் கோயில் இது.

ஜ்யேஷ்டாபிஷேகம் பெரிய ஏகாந்த திருமஞ்சனம்!

ஜுலை 7 & 8 ம்தேதி  நடைபெறும் நம்பெருமாளின் ஜ்யேஷ்டாபிஷேகம். பெரிய திருமஞ்சனம்

 அரங்கனுக்கு வருடாவருடம் ,ஆனி மாதம், ஜ்யேஷ்டா (கேட்டை) நக்ஷத்திரத்தன்று, விசேஷமாக திருமஞ்சனம் (அபிஷேகம்)நடைபெறும். “ஜேஷ்டா” என்ற ஸம்ஸ்க்ருத சொல் “பெரிய ‘” என்ற பொருள் உரைக்கும் …”ஜ்யேஷ்டா”  நக்ஷத்திரம் (கேட்டை )என்றால் ,”பெரிய நக்ஷத்திரம் “என்றும் பொருள் கொள்ளலாம் …ஸ்ரீ ரங்கத்தில் பள்ளிகொண்டு அருளும் ,மூலவர் ஸ்ரீ ரங்கநாதனின் ஆலயத்தின் பெயரோ “பெரிய கோயில் “என்பது ஆகும்.

  ஸ்ரீரங்கநாதரை “பெரிய பெருமாள் ” என்றும் ,ஸ்ரீ ரங்கநாயகித் தாயாரை “பெரிய பிராட்டியார் ” என்றும் ,பெருமாளுக்கு,தினமும் நடைபெறும் ,மதிய வேளை(உச்சிகால )நிவேதனத்துக்கு ,”பெரியவசரம் “என்றும் கூறுவது மறபு. (அரங்கனின் பிரசாதங்கள் “பெரிய அளவில் ” நிவேதனம் செய்யப்படும்) அரங்கனை ,திருமணம் செய்துகொண்ட ஆண்டாளின் தந்தையான ,விஷ்ணு சித்தரை  “பெரியாழ்வார்” என்று அரங்கனே அழைத்ததாக சொல்வது ,வழக்கம்.. .

  பொதுவாக அரங்கத்தில் பள்ளி கொண்டு அருளும் ,”பெரிய பெருமாளான “மூலவர் ஸ்ரீ ரங்கநாதருக்கு ,இந்த ஆனி மாதத்தில்,”பெரிய நட்சத்திரத்தில்”(ஜ்யேஷ்டா நக்ஷத்திரத்தில்),ஸ்ரீரங்கத்தில் இரண்டு பிரிவாக,தெற்கிலும் ,வடக்கிலும் ,”பெரிய மாலை “போல ,தவழ்ந்து ஓடும் ,தமிழகத்தின் ,புண்ணியமான ,புராதனம் மிக்க ,”பெரிய நதியான ” தென் திருக் “காவிரியில்”,இருந்து , ,”பெரிய கோபுரமான “ராஜ கோபுரத்தின் வழியே , தீர்த்தம் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டு,விசேஷமாக ,”பெரிய கோயிலான”அரங்கன் ஆலயத்தினில் உள்ளே எழுந்தருளிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் , அரங்கத்து (உற்சவப்) பெருமாளான ,அழகிய மணவாளனுக்கும் ,(நம்பெருமாளுக்கு) ஸ்ரீ தேவி,மற்றும் பூ தேவி தாயாருக்கும் ,பெரிய திருமஞ்சனம் (அபிஷேகம்)செய்யப் படும் ….

 பெரிய நட்சத்திரத்தில் ,பெரிய நதியில் இருந்து ,பெரிய கோபுரத்தின் வழியே ,பெரிய அளவில் (28 குடங்களில் ),பெரிய கோயிலில் உள்ள ,பெரிய பெருமாளுக்கு ,பெரிய அளவில் ,வெகு விமரிசையாக நடைபெறும் ,திருமஞ்சனம் என்பதாலேயே ,இதற்கு “பெரிய திருமஞ்சனம்” என்று அழைக்கிறார்கள்.

 (வருடத்தில் பதினோரு மாதங்கள் ,(ஐப்பசி தவிர ) ஸ்ரீ ரங்கத்தின் வடக்கு பகுதியில் ஓடும் ,வட திருக்காவிரியில் இருந்து ,யானை மீது தீர்த்தம் கொண்டு வரப்படும் ..ஆனால் இந்த “பெரிய திருமஞ்சனத்திற்கு “மட்டும்   வழக்கம்போல், கொள்ளிடக்கரையிலிருந்து தீர்த்தம் எடுக்காமல், ஸ்ரீரங்கத்தின் தெற்குப் பகுதியில்- அம்மா மண்டபத்தின்                           காவிரியிலிருந்து தீர்த்தம் எடுத்து வருவார்கள்.

 ஆண்டாள் “யானையின் ” மீது தங்கக் குடத்திலும், வெள்ளிக் குடங்களிலும்,  காவிரித் தீர்த்தத்தை வேத கோஷங்கள்(?),  பாசுரங்கள் பாடி பெருமாளின் திருமஞ்சனத்துக்காக, ஊர்வலமாக எடுத்து வருவார்கள்.

 அரங்கத்தில் பள்ளிகொண்டு அருளும் ,மூலவரான பெரிய பெருமாளுக்கு (ஸ்ரீரங்கநாதருக்கு), “தைலக்காப்பு”, அகில் கட்டை ,சந்தனக்கட்டை ,சாம்பிராணி ,வெட்டிவேர் ,நல்லெண்ணெய் மற்றும் புனுகு ,பச்சைகற்பூரம் கொண்டு ,மண்பாத்திரத்தில் ,விறகு அடுப்பில் ,ஒரு சோதனைக்குழாய் போன்ற அமைப்பில் ,பானைகளைக் கொண்டு ,பரிசுத்தமாக காய்ச்சிய தைலம்,பாராம்பரிய முறையில் காய்ச்சப்பட்டு, தைலம் தயாரிக்கப்படுகிறது இந்த பெரிய திருமஞ்சனத்தன்று மட்டுமே , பெரிய பெருமாளுக்கு தலை முதல் பாதம் வரை ,(ஆதிஷேசனுக்கும்), சாற்றப்படும் ….இதை “புனுகு சட்டம் “என்றும் சொல்லுவர் …

 அரங்கத்தில் பள்ளி கொண்டு அருளும் ,மூலவர் ஸ்ரீ ரங்கநாதர் ,கல்லினாலோ.அல்லது மரத்தினாலோ செய்யப்பட” விக்ரஹம்” அல்ல முழுக்க முழுக்க “ஸ்வதையினால் ” அதாவது ,சாளக்ராமங்கள் மற்றும் சுண்ணாம்பு ,இன்னும் பிற படிமங்களைக் கொண்ட ,(சுண்ணாம்புக் காரை)கலைவைகளால் ஆன திருமேனி .(விக்ரஹம்). இதனால், மூலவருக்கு திருமஞ்சனம் (அபிஷேகம்) செய்யும் வழக்கம் இல்லை.திருமேனி மீது வஸ்திரம், திருவாபரணங்கள் மட்டுமே சாத்தப்படும். பூ, மாலைகள் சாத்தப்படுவதில்லை.

 ஆண்டுக்கொரு முறை, அகில், சந்தனம், சாம்பிராணி உள்ளிட்ட வாசனாதி திரவியங்கள், பாராம்பரிய முறையில் காய்ச்சப்பட்டு, தைலம் தயாரிக்கப்படுகிறது.அதன் மூலம் மூலவரின் திருமேனிக்கு தைலக்காப்பு இடப்படுகிறது.

 இப்படிப்பட்ட பெருமை மிகுந்த, பெரிய பெருமாளின் திருமேனியை (சரீரத்தினை) பாதுகாக்கும் பொருட்டு, மேற்சொன்ன “‘தைலக்காப்பு” நமது முன்னோர்களினால், காலங்காலமாக, தொன்று தொட்டு, வெகுநேர்த்தியாக, பக்தியுடன், இந்த ஆனிமாதம், கேட்டை (ஜ்யேஷ்டா) நட்சத்திரத்தன்று சாற்றப் படுகின்றது …

பொதுவாக எலும்பினாலும்,இரத்தத்தாலும்,சதையாலும், தசைகளினாலும் ஆகிய,சில பல ஆண்டுகளில் அழிந்து போகக் கூடிய  நம்முடைய ,மனித சரீரத்தை காப்பதற்கு வாரம் ஒருமுறையாவது “நல்லெண்ணெய்க் குளியல் “செய்ய வேணும் என்பது நம்முடைய முன்னோர்களின் வாக்கு.

  பிரம்மனைபடைத்த ,பிரம்மாமுதல் நாரதர் ,சூரியன் ,அவரின் குலத்தின் வழி  வந்த இக்ஷுவாகு, தசரதன், அவரின் மகனாக ராமன், அவரின் பின்பு விபீஷணன் மற்றும் பன்னிரு ஆழ்வார்களாலும் , பலப்பல ஆச்சார்யர்கள் முதலானோர்களால் பூஜிக்கப்பட்ட, இன்னும் பல கோடி ஆண்டுகள் பூஜிக்கப்போகின்ற அழிவில்லாத ,அநாதியான, கூப்பிட்ட குரலுக்கு ஓடோடி வருபவரான , “பெரிய பெருமாளான ” மூலவர் ஸ்ரீ ரங்கநாதரின் சரீரத்தினை (திருமேனியை ) பாதுகாக்கும் பொருட்டு, இந்த தைலமானது, ஸ்ரீ ரங்கநாதரின் திருமேனியில் உள்ள, வஸ்திரங்களையும்,ஆபரணங்களையும் களைந்து ,சாற்றப்படும் .

அதைப்போலவே உற்சவரான ,நம்பெருமாளுக்கும் ,உபய நாய்ச்சிமார்களான ,ஸ்ரீ தேவி  மற்றும் பூ தேவி தாயார்களுக்கும்,அவர்களின் திருமேனியை காக்கும் பொருட்டு ,அரங்கனின் முதல் பிராகாரமான “திருவெண்ணாழி”, (திரு+வெண்+ஆழி =”திருவெண்ணாழி”,திரு +பால்+கடல் =அதாவது திருப்பாற்கடலில்) திருச்சுற்றில், ஏழு திரையிடப்பட்டு ,நம்பெருமாள் மற்றும் உபயனாய்ச்சிமார்களுக்கு,அவர்களின் திருமேனியின் மேல், வருடம் முழுவதும் ,சாற்றப்பட்டு இருக்கும், தங்க கவச்சத்தினை களைந்து, நேரிடையாக, திருமேனியில் “(சரீரத்தில்) ,பால்,தயிர்,பஞ்சாமிர்தம் கொண்டு, திருமஞ்சனம் (அபிஷேகம்) செய்விக்கப் படும் …இந்த திருமஞ்சனத்தை, அர்ச்சகர்கள் தவிர மற்றவர்கள் சேவிக்க முடியாது, இது “பெரிய ஏகாந்த திருமஞ்சனம்” என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது. உற்சவர்களின் திருமேனியின் சாற்றப்பட்டு உள்ள,  தங்க கவசத்தின் உள்ளே ,பச்சைக் கற்பூரம் ஒரு பாதுகாப்பு கவசம் போல்,மெல்லிய துணிகளைக் கொண்டு ,திருமேனிமுழுவதும் சாற்றப் பட்டு இருக்கும் .அந்த பச்சைக் கற்பூரக் கவசமானது, உற்சவரின் திருமேனியை ,ஆண்டு முழுவதும் ,பாதுகாக்கும் பொருட்டு ,சாற்றப் படுகிறது …

 பொதுவாக பச்சைக்கற்பூரம் கொண்டு, பாதுகாக்கும் எந்த பொருட்களும், நீண்ட நாட்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக, இருக்கும். அதோடு புழு, பூச்சிகள் மற்றும் பூஞ்சைகள் வரவிடாமல் தடுக்கும்இ. தற்காகவே, நம்பெருமாளுக்கும், உபய நாய்ச்சிமார்களுக்கும், இத்தகைய சிறப்பு மிக்க ,பச்சைக் கற்பூரம் கொண்டு ,ஒரு கவசமும் ,அதன்மீதே ,தங்க கவசமும் ,ஆபரணங்களும் ,வைர ,வைடூரிய ,மாணிக்கங்களும் ,பூமாலைகளும் சாற்றப் படுகின்றது. இப்படிப்பட்ட ,”தைலக்காப்பும்”,”பச்சைக் கர்ப்பூறக் கவசமும் நம் முன்னோர்களின் கண்டுபிடிப்புகள்”, என்பதை, நாம் பெருமை கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

  இந்த பாதுகாப்பு முறைகள், காலங்காலமாக அழியாதது.. புகழ் உடையது …அரியது …அதே நேரத்தில் போற்றத்தக்கதும் ஆகும். இந்த பாதுகாப்பு முறைகளை ,இன்றும், இன்னும் வரப்போகும் காலங்களிலும் தொடரச் செய்வது மட்டும் அல்ல,அதை சரியாகச் செய்வதும் நமது கடமையாகும்.

 அரங்கன் ஆலயத்தில்இந்த “பெரிய திருமஞ்சனம் “தவிர மற்ற எந்த காலங்களிலும்,நம்பெருமாளுக்கோ,உபய நாய்ச்சிமார்களுக்கோ ,பால் ,தயிர் ,பஞ்சாமிர்தம் கொண்டு(திருமஞ்சனம்,( அபிஷேகம்)செய்வது கிடையாது ….  வருடம் முழுவதும் நடக்கும் ,திருமஞ்சனங்களில் ,காவிரித்தீர்த்தத்தில் ,(வெந்நீர் கூட உண்டு ) ,சந்தனம் ,மற்றும் குங்குமப்பூ கலந்தே ,திருமஞ்சனம் நடக்கும் …

 திருமஞ்சனத்துக்கு அடுத்த நாள் ‘பெரிய திருப்பாவாடைத் தளிகை’ பெரிய பெருமாள், சந்நிதி வாசலில் சமர்ப்பிப்பார்கள். அந்தப் பிரசாதத்தில் பலாச்சுளை, வாழைப்பழம்,மாங்காய், தேங்காய், நெய் ஆகியவற்றை அதிகமாகக் கலந்திருப்பார்கள். அத்துடன்                      சிறிதளவு உப்பும் சேர்ப்பார்கள். பெருமாளுக்கு ஆராதனைகள் மற்றும் நிவேத்தியம் செய்த பின், அதை பக்தர்களுக்கு பிரசாதமாக வழங்குவார்கள்.

 இதற்கு “பெரிய திருப்பாவாடை “என்று பெயர் …பெரிய திருப்பாவாடைத் தளிகை. நாள்தோறும் பெருமாளுக்கு நடைபெறும் நிவேதனங்களில், ஏதேனும் குறைபாடு இருந்திருந்தால், அதற்குப் பிராயச்சித்தமாக, இந்தப் “பெரிய தளிகை” அமுது செய்விக்கப்படுவதாக ஐதீகம்!.

 நாளை ஒருநாள் மட்டுமே “பெரிய திருமஞ்சனத்தன்று “மட்டுமே ,அரங்கனின் மூலஸ்தானத்தில்,உள்ள சுவர்களில் ,சந்தனம் பூசப்படும் ..வருடம் முழுவதும் செய்யப்படும் ,ஆரத்தி ,வருடம் முழுவதும் அணையாமல் ,சுடர்கின்ற தீப ஒளியின் ,படிமங்கள் அரங்கனின் மூலஸ்தானத்தில் ,படர்ந்து இருக்கும் ,,அதை இன்று ஒருநாள் மட்டுமே சுத்தம் செய்து ,சுவர்களின் சந்தனத்தால் ,பூச்சு பூசப்படும் …

 அதோடு மட்டும் அல்லாமல் ,அரங்கனின் திருமேனியில் வருடம் முழுவதும் ,சாற்றப்பட்டு இருந்த ,தங்க கவசங்களும் ,வைர ,வைடூரிய ,மாணிக்க மகுடங்களும் ,அவனின் பாதுகைகளும் ,இந்த “பெரிய திருமஞ்சனத்தின் “பொது மட்டுமே ,பொதுமக்களின் முன்பு ,பார்வைக்கு வைக்கப் பட்டு ,தங்க நகைகள் சுத்தம் செய்யும் நிகழ்ச்சி துவங்கும். மாலை 4.30 மணிக்கு சுத்தம் செய்யப்பட்ட அங்கிகள், தங்க நகைகள் பழுது பார்த்து, எடைகள் சரிபார்க்கப்பட்டு,மீண்டும் அரங்கனின் திருமேனியிலும்,உபய நாய்ச்சிமார்களின் திருமேனியில் சாற்றப்படும்.

 இன்று  நடைபெறும் “பெரிய திருமஞ்சனம் “நிகழ்ச்சி நிரல் “.. ஜுலை 8 ம் தேதி சனி்கிழமை,  காலை 6 மணிக்கு, கருட மண்டபத்திலிருந்து தங்க குடம் மற்றும் வெள்ளிக்குடங்கள் திருக்காவிரிக்கு  கொண்டு செல்லப்படுகிறது.  காலை 7 மணிக்கு யானை மீது வைத்து  தங்க குடத்திலும், 28 வெள்ளி குடங்களிலும் அம்மா மண்டப படித்துறையிலிருந்து புனிதநீரை கோயிலுக்கு , ஊர்வலமாக கொண்டு வருவார்கள். காலை 9.15 மணிக்கு புனிதநீர், பெரிய சன்னதியை அடையும். காலை 9.45 மணி முதல் தொண்டைமான் மேட்டில், பெருமாளின் அங்கிகள், தங்க நகைகள் சுத்தம் செய்யும் நிகழ்ச்சி துவங்கும்.

 மாலை 4.30 மணிக்கு சுத்தம் செய்யப்பட்ட அங்கிகள், தங்க நகைகள் பழுது பார்த்து எடைகள் சரிபார்க்கப்பட்டு ஒப்படைக்கப்படுகிறது.இரவு 10.30 மணிக்கு மூலவர் பெரிய பெருமாளுக்கு, மங்களஹாராத்தி நடக்கிறது.  நாளை முழுவதும்  முழுவதும் மூலவர்மற்றும் உற்சவர்  சேவை கிடையாது. ஜூலை 8ம் தேதி  பெரிய தளிகை எனப்படும் திருப்பாவாடை நிகழ்ச்சி நடக்கிறது. இதையொட்டி காலை 7 மணிக்கு தளிகை எடுத்தல் நிகழ்ச்சி நடக்கிறது. மதியம் 12.45 மணி முதல் 1.15 வரை தளிகை அமுது செய்தல் நிகழ்ச்சி நடக்கிறது.  மாலை 4.30 மணி முதல் 6 மணி வரை, 6.45 மணி முதல் இரவு 9 வரை மூலவர் சேவை.
